Valley Aquatic Center: Swim Laps or Splash Around on the Playground
March 1, 2016 | western
When the summer heat sets in, it can be hard to convince yourself to get outside in the sunshine—let alone your little ones. The Valley Aquatic Center makes it easier to leave the AC. The aquatic center contains two public pools, plus a watery playground where youngsters can climb and splash around.
If you want to get in a good workout, take a dip in the Valley Aquatic Center's competition pool. It measures 25 yards by 110 feet, plenty of room for swimming laps in warm sun. The leisure pool for everything spans nearly 6,000 square feet, starting with an end just shallow enough to dip your toes in the water and growing deeper as you go. It's here that kids can zoom down an 18-foot water slide and splash around on a play structure rooted right in the shallow pool. The Valley Aquatic Center offers swimming lessons, too, so you can perfect your stroke no matter your age at the swimming pool
