Feast on Local Bounty at Farmhouse in Yuma
May 12, 2015 | western
One Yelper describes Yuma's Farmhouse as "a culinary oasis in the desert," and that's exactly what head chef and owner Jonathan Palacio was going for when he opened the farm-to-table eatery. He knew that, being positioned in the Winter Vegetable Capital of the World, he had a duty to bring farm-fresh produce to the people of Yuma. That's exactly what he does with his Arizona-raised meats, fruits, and veggies.
Customers seem to agree that Chef Jonathan typically knocks it out of the park with the classic American eats he and his team craft in the kitchen. Indulge in the fried green heirloom tomatoes with chipotle mayo, a gourmet take on the Southern staple, or whole smoked chicken wings with hot sauce, ginger teriyaki, or lemon pepper seasonings. Those are just the starters; save some room for an entree such as mussels with Brussels sprouts or lobster pasta in garlic butter wine sauce.
